I am very proud my recent "Braceros Triptych" won second place in the El Paso Art Association's Mighty Frontline Art Show honoring essential workers. The triptych consists of three acrylic paintings--"Bracera Embarazada", "Mesilla Valley Bracero" and "Picacho Mountain Braceros", depicting migrant field workers (Braceros) picking chilis in Mesilla Valley NM.
Paul has a number of his paintings on view in and around Las Cruces, NM. They include:

I was delighted to see the story in the Las Cruces Bulletin that appeared in their May 22nd edition. Check it out or better still come by our growing gallery in Las Cruces!
I thought about doing some sidewalk chalk art during this pandemic and social distancing. I even bought some chalk! Unfortunately, there is no sidewalk in front of our house. There is a wall but it is made of rock and the chalk kept breaking (not really!). I decided to create a "neighborhood gallery" , painting on some plywood using some leftover house paint I used this past winter. I set up an old easel under a tree out in front and painted various images--a couple of my own originals plus several from my favorite impressionists--Van Gogh and Monet. The neighbors helped select which paintings to do next and seem to enjoy my efforts. Hope you do as well. Stay safe and stay well. Cheers!
I was scheduled to do an art show together with renown watercolorist, Phil Yost, at the Dona Ana Cultural Center in Old Mesilla, New Mexico. It was gong to be during the entire month of April. We were planning a fantastic reception on Saturday April 11th with music, food and great friends. It would have been a wonderful time and I was looking forward to seeing many of you from our Southern New Mexio region and connecting via social network with those who could not be there. Unfortunately, Mother Nature and a global pandemic intervened and we have cancelled the show until next year. Here is a video of the images of my paintings I was planning to show. I hope you enjoy!
Had fun painting "window" art as part of the Las Cruces "Ventanas Vivas" art contest. I joined several artists in putting up art on windows of selected businesses to promote the holiday season and art in our community. Come check it out on Main St., Las Cruces, NM.. Art will be there for the month of December when it will be washed away!
